To how much abuse have you subjected your Planet Ocean? id="post_message_81124">If you've owned a Planet Ocean for a few years or more, your experience would be helpful to me in making a near-term purchase decision.
My current daily wear watch is a recent model Submariner Date. I wear it almost constantly, whether I'm in the office, swimming at the beach, doing light wood chopping when I camp, or rough-housing w/ my 9-year-old and his buddies. I'm not necessarily looking for an "Omega versus Rolex" debate here, but, rather, simply wanted to share my frame of reference in terms of a not inexpensive watch that I view as completely durable and don't want to feel I have to baby.
Now I'm considering the purchase of a new Planet Ocean which would alternate or maybe even replace this watch as my primary wear piece. But I don't want to feel like I have to be any more gentle with it. I don't want to worry about the watch stopping or the bracelet coming undone. I know about the outside A/R, so I've already accepted that issue (altho I'd be happy to hear stories about that as well).
So now I'm asking you all:
... to how much abuse have you subjected your Planet Ocean?
... how has it held up for you over the years?
Success stories and warnings would be great. Thanks!__________________
